Three movement vocabulary for abstract is making it less realistic, making it different, or making something less obvious. -polka dot pup
Some ways to make realistic dancing look abstract are to change level, energy, body part, size, speed, duration, or make it locomote. Ex. waving, you could do with your foot or head. That is like changing your body part. - sportsman98
To change absract to literal I would move in a different direction and use different body parts like if i was staring a pot of soup i would use my head or my leg and people would even know i was staring a pot of soup.
Ways to make things look more abstract is to change speed, direction, and much more. An example is to use a different body part when shooting a basketball. -FloRida99
Some ways to turn a gesture from literal to abstract is to change the size. For example you could change stirring soup from literal to abstract is to make it tiny. -applejuice
You first start off with an obvious dance, for example, stirring soup. You could do many things, like stir the soup faster, make the stirring range bigger, stir with a different body part, change your level, and move while stirring your soup. Its harder to guess after you do these things, which makes your dance abstract! -Kittycat
i agree with puppy face when they say "i would move different body parts".like when we were waving i made it look sorta like a fan with one arm moving in a big circle.-gogogirl27
To turn a literal gesture to abstract first you need to use body parts that show your movement but not the same way. You need to use different body parts in way that make it abstract.Example:If I used the crazy gesture I would use my head, spin it and spin around really fast. It would be at a high level and it would be in a small size that doesn't use much negative space. That's how I would change a literal shape into an abstract one. -Snowball
Some ways we transfered literal to abstract were that when you waved you could maybe use a different body part or change levels. You could also change direction, speed, size or energy. - Bigmac

I agree with Fireball67 because stirring soup like cement might make it look more abstract as well as make it harder to tell what it is.

I would jump and wave my hand to say hello and I would make little hand gestures more difficult to guess.
-Thunderbird-
I would change the speed, level, body part or size. For instance if I was waving I might shake my body.

More ways to make things abstract are changing size, using a difrent body part or a dirent speed. -laffs-alot
